Piet Jansen is managing director at Yes We Can Youth Clinics, a specialised treatment centre for 13-to-25-year-olds suffering from mental health issues, addictions and behavioural problems.

The firm’s UHNW clients tend to be families who are seeking treatment for their sons or daughters. ‘Often, in a time of crisis, these young people and their parents, guardians or schools just don’t know where to turn,’ Jansen says. ‘I often connect well with young people as they are genuine, honest and open. We all need love, warmth, safety and attention. We all want to be seen, heard and acknowledged.’

The treatment consists of a 10-week residential treatment programme, followed by an extensive aftercare schedule. ‘Over 500 highly specialised healthcare professionals work hard to help the fellows and their families turn hopelessness into happiness,’ according to the centre.

Comprising a ‘global professional network’, Yes We Can draws together mental health practitioners, educators, private schools and support services for the purposes of follow-up care and referrals.
