Dr Adrian Heini is the medical director of Clinique La Prairie, the award-winning wellness and longevity retreat in Montreux, Switzerland.

Heini is responsible for the direction of the clinic’s revitalisation and detoxification programmes, which target what the clinic has identified as the body’s seven key systems: brain, heart, circadian rhythm, skin, metabolism, immunity and microbiota.

Heini believes that when each system is revitalised, the patient will have more energy, flexibility and well-being, living a happier and, crucially, longer life – something particularly important for patients over 40.

The clinic is a pioneer of the ‘medical spa’ concept, encouraging clients to stay for a week or two to learn new well-being habits and carry them into their day-to-day lives.
