Dr Michael May, medical director and principal surgeon at the Wimpole Clinic, boasts more than 25 years’ experience in hair transplant surgery.
He is available to prospective patients during their consultation and carries out a range of hair loss procedures, including follicular unit extraction and follicular unit transplant (FUT), and repair and restoration to eyebrows, eyelashes, beards and side burns.
May qualified at St Bartholomew’s Hospital before training and registering as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. He was instrumental in the development of the now widely practised FUT technique, and is an expert who has presented papers and lectures on the subject both in the UK and abroad. He is also a founding member and past president of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery.
