Jian Farhadi

Professor Jian Farhadi is a consultant plastic surgeon with a special interest in cancer reconstruction. Formerly director of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, he specialises in reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery and procedures after weight loss.

Farhadi studied medicine at the University of Basel and University Pitié-Salpetrière in Paris before graduating from the Medical School of the University of Basel. He is actively involved with research and is the current lead for research and development of plastic surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’.

He is also the founder of the BRA Foundation, a non-profit and independent organisation which helps to raise awareness of breast reconstruction options for women facing mastectomy.
