Mairead Liston is a highly experienced nursing professional who has spent more than 40 years working in the care industry. 

In 2009 she founded her own business with the express purpose of creating a high-quality private nursing and care service that can be delivered in the comfort of a patient’s own home. 

Cavendish Homecare Professionals provides palliative, respite, paediatric and cancer care, including live-in and post-operative nursing, and serves patients in London and the surrounding area – including travelling care for international or mobile clients. Cavendish also has a specialised team that is dedicated to caring for patients with mental health problems and dementia. 

‘Continuity is a key thing with us,’ she tells Spear’s. ‘Everybody’s anxious; they don’t want to have carers or nurses. They want to be reassured that we have their best interests at heart, and then we get the proper person to deliver it.’

Cavendish receives many referrals from Harley Street doctors and often works for public figures and HNW individuals.
