Hannah Gibney, head of transformation at Stewardship, has been integral to the growth of the award-winning philanthropy services team at Stewardship, a Christian donor-advised fund.

Stewardship’s philanthropy services team looks after about 900 clients, of which around 25 belong to its upper ‘philanthropy fund’ tier. Fund sizes range from £1 million per year all the way to about £60 million. 

As a donor-advised fund, Stewardship acts for clients, making grants on their behalf, which can help with anonymity as well as the administrative burden. Gibney says: ‘A lot of our clients talk about the joy of being able to fully let go of the funds and say, “We are actually just being generous with this money. There’s no ulterior motive here.”’
