David Russell

Spear’s Review

David Russell is the CEO of GoldCore, a company which guides investors in the purchase, delivery and ultra-secure storage of gold, silver, platinum and palladium coins and bars. Their ‘open vault’ offering is a key differentiator for the firm and, according to Russell, gives the investor more assurance as to the safety of their precious metal investments.

Russell tells Spear’s that given the scale of investments – which can range from $500,000 into the millions – it’s imperative for clients to find the right company to guide them in the purchase of precious metals. His top recommendation is finding a company that is a member of the London Bullion Market Association. GoldCore, he says, has been a member for several years. ‘It comes down to three things: longevity, liquidity and pedigree.’

The firm also has a policy of dealing with physical bars as opposed to simple online transactions. In the past year, Russell says, the firm has been refining its offering to HNWs and family offices by expanding its investor-focused events and increasing its commitment to meeting clients’ ‘specific needs and concerns’.
