David O'Brart

David O’Brart serves as a private consultant at London Medical and is the director of refractive, cornea and anterior segment surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals in London.
He has co-authored three books on corneal topography and refractive and corneal surgery, and has written more than 100 research and scientific reports in established, peer-reviewed ophthalmic journals.
To add to his academic suite, O’Brart is also a founding member of the microsurgical skills committee at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, and in 2015 was appointed an honorary professor of corneal science at King’s College London; he was also awarded an honorary professorship by Cardiff University in 2019.
