Dr Andrew McIver is a private GP and a founding director of London’s Sloane Medical Practice, established in 2010.

McIver has worked in some of the UK’s busiest hospitals and in a variety of different fields, including paediatrics, psychiatry, cardiology, gastroenterology and emergency medicine.

Early in his career, he spent four months with the North Queensland helicopter ambulance service and two years in the emergency room at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

McIver explains that he enjoys the variety of being a general practitioner and believes that a positive doctor-patient relationship is vital for the delivery of high-quality healthcare. He is a member of the Independent Doctors Federation and the Chelsea Clinical Society, and is the club doctor at the Oriental Club near Bond Street.
