In 2022, Clare Stirzaker joined Boodle Hatfield, having spent almost a decade leading PwC’s private client legal practice.

Known for her specialism in family governance and succession, she looks after UHNW clients’ estate planning, cross-border inheritance planning and tax matters.

Stirzaker advises clients on ensuring that family wealth will remain stable in the event of unexpected succession. Next-gen discussions are an important part of her practice, she tells Spear’s, citing a case where a family made the children directors of various companies before discovering that they were unprepared for the roles. 

Also active in philanthropy and progressive wealth advice, Stirzaker can offer advisory services to ‘tax positive’ wealth holders looking to use their position to achieve social aims rather than to further asset growth.
