Alessandro Bavila, a partner at Maisto e Associati, an independent Italian law firm with offices in Rome, Milan and London, is a leading authority on Anglo-Italian tax regulations and practices.

Bavila is mostly based in Milan but has a degree in tax from the University of London; as such, he has many clients who are UK residents or have business interests or assets in the UK. He has particular expertise in estate planning, inheritance tax planning, trusts and taxation of individuals.

He has a string of articles to his name in tax journals and textbooks and is a member of the board of the Italian branch of STEP. He speaks fluent English and Italian.
