Mitch Young of Fusion Consulting attracts a wide client base of entrepreneurs and business owners. While they may have initially been drawn to him via his social media presence as Mitch The Tax Man, they stay long-term because of his commitment to their needs.

‘We sit down with the clients, we talk about their future aspirations, and then we produce various different models, looking at the interaction between income tax, capital gains tax [and] inheritance tax, so that clients can have in one place a report detailing everything, and anything, when it comes to taxes,’ he tells Spear’s. 

‘There is so much that one can do in the UK with regards to tax planning and tax structuring,’ he adds. ‘We really get to understand the clients and their long-term visions. Another adviser may advise a family to establish a trust, but are they actually demonstrating what the financial commitment of that trust is, and what the long-term tax costs are?’
