Spear's Review

Jodie Barwick-Bell of Azets was first brought to the attention of Spear's for her work involving family offices. Having spent six years of her career in-house for two entrepreneurial families, she understands the complexities they encounter when it comes to tax and succession planning, trusts and governance. 

A particular area of focus for Barwick-Bell is virtual family offices, catering to a demographic for people who have wealth below £100 million (and therefore wouldn't normally have a sophisticated structure like a family office to manage their wealth). 

'Family offices are becoming trendy,' she tells Spear's. 'Virtual family offices can be useful for people who want to say they have a family office and require some sort of structure to manage their wealth. [VFOs] are simply family office services that are outsourced to an external firm, rather than having an in-house team'
