Lumos Education is best described, according to founder and director Johanna Mitchell, as family-focused. 

The boutique education consultancy, whose services include helping families choose the best nursery schools at birth all the way to preparing students for university entrance, conducts meticulous academic and personal assessments of each client to ‘find the right school for the right child’, Mitchell tells Spear’s.  

Based on their evaluation of each student’s strengths, Mitchell and her team draw upon their close connections with schools around the world to offer single consultations or full placement services. This can include handling admissions paperwork, personal statement coaching and other bespoke services, such as tuition for children with special needs or mental health support.

‘We spend a lot of time working with institutions, especially bilingual schools, but we remain completely independent and only look for the best outcome for each child,’ Mitchell explains.
