Nathaniel McCullagh founded Simply Learning Tuition after recognising the high demand for private tuition. Since its launch in 2009, his firm has grown at a formidable rate, providing private tutors for after-school tuition, long-term homeschooling and overseas placements.

McCullagh is a former private tutor himself, and the experience he gained from working with children of all ages and abilities is now used ‘in everything I do’, he tells Spear’s, adding that his personal knowledge of the sector means his work is ‘underpinned by integrity’.

He now works with around 350 private tutors and education consultants who advise parents about school placements and offer academic assessments, revision courses and insight around the UK schools system. He does not merely ‘introduce tutors and consultants to families then leave’, but instead remains ‘closely involved with clients to make sure they are achieving their goals’.
