Matthew Smith, a highly experienced tutor in English language and literature, and an educational consultant, is owner and founder of Helicon View Learning (formerly called Griffin + Bell). 

The firm has succeeded in shepherding students through exams for many of the top schools in London and the UK, including Westminster, St Paul’s Girls and Boys and King’s College. 

Smith read English literature at Christ Church college, University of Oxford, and is a published and prize-winning poet and novelist. He works closely with the firm’s tutees to give them the support necessary to thrive, either complementing school teaching or providing an outlet for prodigiously talented students who find that class lessons are not meeting their individual needs.
