Annabel Spring
Spear’s Review
In just 25 years, Allfunds has evolved from a one-man operation based in Madrid to one of the world’s leading B2B wealthtech platforms, administering over €1.5 trillion in assets. In 2025, CEO Juan Alcaraz announced his decision to step down, and Annabel Spring was appointed as his successor.
Spring brings with her three decades of experience in wealth management and private banking, having held roles in Australia, Hong Kong, the United States and the United Kingdom. She most recently led HSBC’s global private banking and wealth division, where she oversaw significant international expansion and a 40 per cent increase in headcount across the business.
According to Allfunds, Spring will focus the firm’s growth strategy on driving innovation through tech, enhancing the client-manager relationships and fostering cross-border collaboration among ultra-high-net-worth clients in Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
‘Allfunds is an international leader in its field, with a strong reputation across the wealth and banking community. The trends supporting the continued growth of global wealth are robust, and I believe Allfunds is very well placed to capture this significant opportunity,’ she noted in a press release following her appointment.
Her move reflects the growing trend of women being appointed to senior roles across the wealth management industry and signals Allfunds’ ambition to harness the next generation of wealth creation.
