Mozamil Afzal

Mozamil Afzal is the global chief investment officer and UK CEO at EFG Asset Management, which manages approximately $25 billion on behalf of clients as of March 2024. Also chairman of the asset allocation committee, he has overall supervisory responsibility for the all-important investment process.

Afzal joined the firm in 1994 and has since held a number of roles, including director of EFG Private Bank. He has managed a series of fixed income funds and portfolios and was responsible for the integration of EFG Asset Management and EFG Private Bank. 

Before joining EFG, which offers a full range of banking and wealth management services, offering ‘new thinking and strategies that challenge convention’, Afzal was an analyst in the macroeconomic policy division at HM Treasury.
