Maria Chehab’s Maison Samadi chocolate house has catered for some of London’s finest hotels, embassies and royal families. ‘It’s very high-end; it’s a different kind of gifting,’ Chehab tells Spear’s.

The business originated in Lebanon, where it was stewarded by Chehab’s great-grandfather and then grandfather. Chehab took over the business, now based in London, a decade ago, relaunching the maison based on her family heritage but ‘with a modern twist’. 

As well as offering a full selection of chocolate-box treats, with fillings and flavours including chocolate brownie, pistachio and rose, the maison creates gifts for events and frequently works with private clients on bespoke requests, ‘[taking] the art of gifting to the ultimate level’.
