Millie Pilkington is one of the UK’s most accomplished high-end portrait photographers, commissioned to capture movie stars, the royal family – including the Prince and Princess of Wales on their wedding day – and other high-profile individuals. 

Pilkington explains that the most important factor when taking someone’s photograph is establishing a connection with her subject, which enables her to capture ‘the spirit of the moment’. 

While much of her work, which ranges from informal family portraits to private wedding photographs, is not made public, Pilkington’s images have regularly featured in both the UK and international press. And her coffee table book, Great Faces of Dorset, features photographic portraits of a variety of different characters that reside in the county.
