Jersey-based Ashley Cox brings 30 years of corporate experience to his role as managing director at Whitmill Trust. As one of the senior members of the team, his day-to-day responsibilities vary from developing the team at Whitmill and establishing growth strategies to focusing on private client and smaller fund relationships. 

Cox joined Whitmill in 2020 and tells Spear’s that from the start, he noticed how different the firm was to others he’d worked at. ‘It’s fiercely independent,’ he says. ‘This was something different that I saw as a challenge. There’s no ambition to be very large. The intention is simply to remain very client-focused and personal’.
