Ann-Marie Powell is a multi-award-winning garden designer who has been running her own practice since 1998. 

Working from her studio on the West Sussex/Hampshire border, Powell’s creations often blend contemporary design with a more naturalistic style. Her impressive portfolio includes Grade I- and Grade II-listed private gardens, private school grounds, roof terraces and gold-winning show gardens at the Chelsea Flower Show. 

Powell recently told Spear’s: ‘The work I like to do is very much about changing people’s access to nature and to wildlife.’ 

In addition to her design work, she is also an accomplished writer, having published five books and several articles that have featured in the Telegraph, the Times and the Financial Times.
