Spear’s Review

The founder of Aiglon, John Corlette, taught at Gordonstoun, where he was inspired by the experiential education philosophy of Kurt Hahn. So it’s no surprise that the popular international school follows a British model.

The alpine setting and international vision makes for an inspiring and dynamic mix, and students leave ‘confident, gregarious, dynamic, entrepreneurial and empathetic’, according to director Nicola Sparrow.

Head teacher

Nicola Sparrow has been school director at Aiglon since 2019. She was previously head of studies at Harrow International School, Bangkok, for 13 years.

Admissions

According to the school:

Aiglon strives to make the admissions process as personalised and positive as possible. Applications may be submitted up to one year in advance at any time during the rolling admissions period, allowing families flexibility without the pressure of strict deadlines.

A visit is considered an essential step in this process. Unless the student has made a recent visit, there is an expectation that all assessments are undertaken on campus.
