Spear’s Review
Familiar with both the UK and US tax systems, Glenn Snow of USTAXFS brings a useful set of expertise to US clients based in the UK, as well as to UK clients who have a connection to or hold assets in the US. He is particularly adept at ‘the complex specialism of US and UK cross-border tax planning’.
The dual-qualified tax adviser was previously a tax director at EY Frank Hirth; he spent over 16 years of his career there, having joined after graduating with a degree in accounting and finance from the University of Essex.
Snow is an Internal Revenue Service enrolled agent and a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians.
Adviser Profile
In January 2023, USTAXFS appointed award-winning industry star Glenn Snow to the position of Tax Director within its Private Client Group. As the largest independent tax accounting firm in the UK & Europe specialising in US tax, welcoming Glenn was the start of growth within USTAXFS’s Private Client division. Glenn’s arrival and this expansion marked an important development for the firm as a business, bolstering the strategic growth of its Private Client Group, including its specialist US/UK cross-border team.
With over 16 years’ experience at EY Frank Hirth, working in both London and New York, Glenn is highly qualified in both US and UK tax advisory and compliance for US-connected individuals, including the complex specialism of US and UK cross-border tax planning. Glenn is greatly acclaimed, having been shortlisted for the 2020 CityWealth Accountant of the Year award, featured in Citywealth’s 2020 Future Leaders Top 100, and voted a leading private client advisor in the 2016 and 2017 Top 35 Under 35 eprivateclient awards.
Established over 35 years ago, USTAXFS has offices in London, Zurich and Geneva, specialising in US tax advice, planning and compliance for individuals, funds, trusts and corporations affected by the US tax system, wherever they may live or operate in the world.
Federal law requires that all US persons, wherever they live, as well as non-US persons with investments in the US, must file annual income tax returns and required informational returns. Filing US taxes abroad can be a complicated and daunting experience, as can coping with two or more tax systems at the same time. With Glenn working alongside the leadership team and the expanded team of experts, USTAXFS’s Private Client division is perfectly positioned to handle particularly complex US and US/UK cross-border tax cases.
