Olivia Rigg established her matchmaking firm, Hamilton Rigg, in November 2019 after an introduction of two friends orchestrated by her led to the pair ultimately getting married. She was no stranger to the world of elite matchmaking after spending almost six years at Gray & Farrar, a stalwart in the space. 

Rigg looks to differentiate herself from larger companies by offering a more bespoke service for male clients, all grounded in a personal environment. In line with this, she launched a podcast in 2024 based around the psychology, art and science of relationships. ‘We’ve been doing a lot of research and work in this space, as the type of people that come to us are those who are optimising their lives,’ she says. ‘I’m seeing them being more open to the coaching aspect of the service too these days.’ 

She tells Spear’s that ‘while the framework of what we do is professional, I want the feeling to be much more of a friend introducing a friend rather than a big company with 2,000 clients’.
