Spear’s Review

The non-selective and non-for-profit Bangkok Patana School is Thailand’s first and largest British international school. From nursery through to senior studies, more than 2,300 students from nearly 70 different nationalities follow the British national curriculum through Year 11 and the International Baccalaureate in Years 12 and 13.

The school’s vast campus and outstanding facilities mean that students can pursue their personal ambitions and interests while preparing for higher education and developing into global citizens. Patana School places an emphasis on extra-curricular activities – there are more than 200 available – and all pupils are encouraged to join the various sporting and artistic activities, ranging from a music programme to a tennis club and even work experience placements.

Academics

64 per cent of GCSE results are grades 7–9.

Average IB score is 36.

University and college destinations

According to the school, 99 per cent of students pursue undergraduate degrees, and in 2023 and 2024 students have gone on to Cambridge, Oxford and Ivy League schools Brown, Cornell and the University of Pennsylvania.
