It has been a dramatic period of growth for Alti’s president of international wealth management Robert Weeber. He tells Spear’s: ‘Going from starting a business to listing on the Nasdaq in five years certainly wasn’t in my business plan.’

Starting in JP Morgan’s influential global investment opportunities group and gaining experience at other top-tier investment banks, Weeber eventually founded his own business, Constantia Partners, selling a large minority stake to Tiedemann in 2019 and proceeding as a joint venture in international wealth management. ‘I didn’t want to follow the typical route that others had taken,’ he said.

Constantia Tiedemann has since bought Holbein Partners and established a UK office, and the whole group became AlTi in 2023. Weeber still sees individual clients as well as sitting on the global executive committee, developing major client relationships and finalising particularly significant deals. ‘It’s always very enjoyable,’ he says.
