Mark Harris was part of the original team that founded Savills Private Finance back in 1997. Following a management buyout in 2011, the firm was rebranded as SPF Private Clients, and in 2022 it was acquired by Howden, the global insurance broker. 

Harris is now the chief executive, focusing on high-value mortgages and complex financial arrangements in the UK and abroad. He is an expert on the London property market and has long-established relationships with a variety of private banks and lenders. 

Given his decades of experience, it’s no surprise Harris is often called upon by the national and international press to provide expert commentary on the mortgage market.
