Alex Head of Social Pantry aims to deliver ‘food with impact’ for a host of blockbuster clients, melding five-star service with haute cuisine. To name just a few, she has served Rihanna, David Attenborough, Hillary Clinton and the (then) Prince of Wales. 

Head’s expert team frequently cater for private parties and weddings, and there are five restaurants and cafés managed by Social Pantry across London. The business is aptly named – it supports an array of social causes and champions the employment of ex-offenders in the hospitality sector.

Before training at Ballymaloe Cookery School, Head sold sandwiches on the back of her bicycle at the age of 16. She then earned her culinary stripes in the restaurant trade before founding her catering business in 2011.
