Spear’s Review
Sarah Melvin of BlackRock has come full circle – from the UK, back to the UK with a tour of the US in between.
She entered the financial services world in 2006, joining BlackRock with a focus on corporate strategy. She moved to the US to be chief of staff to chairman and CEO Larry Fink, and then became head of the institutional client business for the US and Canada, returning to London in 2019 to run the company in the UK.
As managing director of the retail and institutional client business in the UK, Melvin sets the firm’s strategy and is tasked with delivering the full range of BlackRock products and services to clients. She currently serves on BlackRock’s global operating committee, the EMEA executive committee and the global client council.
