Veere Grenney

Spear’s Review

Originally from New Zealand, Veere Grenney arrived in the UK in 1970 and made his way to the top of British interior design by way of selling antiques on Portobello Road, running a shop in Westbourne Grove, working for Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler and finally setting up his own eponymous studio.

A fixture of most important designer lists, Grenney’s interiors retain a sense of style without losing their liveable essence. ‘Beauty should collide with comfort,’ he tells Spear’s

Grenney’s practice is truly international. His work can be found globally, with projects in the US, Europe and his own treasured home in Morocco. In the UK, Grenney’s designs grace residential and commercial spaces; notable projects have included Claridge’s and his Classical house, ‘the Temple’, in the Suffolk countryside.
