Dr Rita Mirakian

Dr Rita Mirakian of the London Allergy Clinic was accredited in Immunology in 1997 following her training at the immunology department of Middlesex Hospital. She was a clinical senior lecturer at Bart’s and the London NHS Trust, and has also held a locum consultant position in allergy within the same hospital. Her specialisms are in the field of drug allergy, rhinology and allergen specific desensitisation therapy.

She was one of the early members of the Standards of Care Committee of the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI). She currently manages patients with complex symptoms related to allergy and immunology and has contributed to the development of an intranasal lysine aspirin challenge protocol to test patients with aspirin sensitivity.
