Spear’s Review
John Warner helped to set up the London Allergy Clinic in 1982 before taking up professorships in paediatrics and child health.
Today, his clinic supports patients with their allergies as they grow older, with a team of ‘internationally renowned experts’ offering treatments for often ‘quite obscure conditions’. His research often revolves around the early developmental causes of asthma and related respiratory conditions.
Warner has published hundreds of scientific articles on this specialism, and served as the editor of a paediatric allergy journal for more than a decade. He was also chair of the British Society for Allergy’s paediatric section, as well as acting as a trustee for The Anaphylaxis Campaign.
He undertook his undergraduate medical studies at the University of Sheffield before working at the city’s Children’s Hospital. He subsequently worked at the Hospital for Sick Children and Great Ormond Street.
