David O'Brart

Spear’s Review

David O’Brart serves as a private consultant at London Medical and is the director of refractive, cornea and anterior segment surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ in London. 

He has co-authored three books on corneal topography and refractive and corneal surgery, and has written more than 100 research and scientific reports in established, peer-reviewed ophthalmic journals. 

O’Brart is a founding member of the microsurgical skills committee at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and in 2015 was appointed an honorary professor of corneal science at King’s College London. He was also a fellow at the prestigious Shiley Eye Institute in San Diego.
