Derek Bardowell

Spear’s Review

As philanthropy adviser and current co-CEO of Ten Years’ Time, Derek Bardowell believes in bridging the gap between philanthropists and the communities they wish to help. ‘We accompany philanthropists and their families into the hearts of communities, the minds of the world’s leading academics and the halls of government to better understand social challenges, then find and fund solutions to them,’ he said.

Bardowell is the author of Giving Back: How To Do Good, Better, as well as No Win Race, which was named sports book of the year by the Sunday Times and the Financial Times in 2019.

He is a knowledge equity fellow at the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at Oxford’s Saïd Business School, and chair designate of the Tudor Trust.
