A regular haunt for celebrities, MPs and members of the royal family, Oswald’s is one of Mayfair’s newer private members’ clubs. Opened in 2018 by Robin Birley, founder of 5 Hertford Street,  the club is renowned for its discretion and privacy. 

With no presence on social media and scant information on its website, Oswald’s caters to some very high-profile clients who are looking for exclusivity far from the public eye. On the eve of King Charles’ coronation, members of the royal family – including Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, Zara and Mike Tindall, and Princess Anne – assembled for celebrations at the vaunted club. 

The club is especially known for its facilities for discerning oenophiles; connoisseurs can keep their wine in the club’s cellar or, alternatively, buy top-shelf wine and spirits from its fully equipped bar.
