Internationally acclaimed law firm Brown Rudnick has a strong private client practice. Its reputation management team – based in Washington, DC – came into the limelight in recent years, especially after helping Johnny Depp secure a favourable settlement in the star’s publicised trial in 2022 against his former wife Amber Heard. The firm in 2023 hired London-based Charlotte Harris from Kingsley Napley as lead European partner in the firm’s brand and reputation arm; the solicitor made her name in the UK’s phone-hacking scandal when she took on News International on behalf of her clients.

The firm has more than 250 lawyers across New York, London, Boston and California. It has deep historical roots in post-war 1940s Boston and New York City and was founded by four prominent lawyers from that era: Charles Rome, Matthew Brown, Alford Rudnick and Hirsh Feed.
