Jon Steafel held a number of leading roles in British journalism – including deputy editor of the Daily Mail – before he joined forces with Andy Coulson at Coulson Partners in 2019.

Steafel brings his experience to bear in his position as managing partner: 25 years in senior newsroom roles has given Steafel deep knowledge of the workings of journalism, campaigns and the media landscape, as well as many contacts in the industry, which he uses to advise businesses, family offices and high-net-worth individuals on media management and reputation issues. 

‘We work hard to help clients understand how important it is to devote time, energy, resources and thought into their reputations – how valuable and how necessary it is for them,’ Steafel tells Spear’s. 

‘Being famous or having a nicely polished image is one thing; having a strong reputation which helps you achieve your business and personal goals is a different thing,’ he says. ‘We are much more in the latter than the former.’
