Jessica McGawley, founder and principal of Dallington, has made it her mission to guide young members of UHNW families through the highs and lows of adolescence. Through a structured mentoring and therapy curriculum, next-generation wealth holders typically aged 16 to 30 take classes centred around risk management, the psychology of money and self-expression.    

‘There are a unique set of challenges that come with being a child of affluence that the average young person doesn’t experience,’ McGawley tells Spear’s.

Dallington’s programme is designed to guide adolescents through a time in their life when they begin to form their own identity, beliefs and values. McGawley says that a graduate will leave with the tools to ‘know, like and manage themselves’. She is a regular fixture at wealth conferences and also trains trustees on how to better engage with Gen Z.
