Jessica McGawley, founder and principal of Dallington Associates, has made it her mission to guide young members of UHNW families through the highs and lows of adolescence. Through a structured mentoring and therapy curriculum, next-generation wealth holders aged 16-30 receive classes in topics centred around risk management, the psychology of money and self-expression.    

‘There are a unique set of challenges that come with being a child of affluence, that the average young person doesn’t experience,’ she tells Spear’s.

Dallington’s mentorship programme is designed to guide adolescents through a time in their life when they begin to form their own identity, beliefs and values. McGawley says that a graduate of the programme should leave with the tools at hand to ‘know, like and manage themselves’.
