David Scott

Spear’s Review

Tribe Impact Capital’s mission is simple: to prioritise ‘investing that does well and does good’.

The firm is chaired by David Scott, a former UBS managing director who founded Vestra Wealth, which was ultimately acquired by the princely family of Liechtenstein through the LGT Group

In 2015, he was introduced to Amy Clarke, who would become Tribe’s chief impact officer. Together with the firm’s other co-founders they set about ‘tackling the investment paradigm’. The firm started operating in earnest in 2016 under Scott’s belief that HNWs wanted a more ethical avenue through which to spend their wealth – where financial returns could be balanced alongside environmental and social returns.

The firm continued its mission in 2025 with the acquisition of Snowball Capital, an impact-led private market fund set up by a group of socially conscious investors, including Alexander Hoare of C. Hoare & Co., and James Perry, the co-founder of the B-Corp movement.

Adding specialist private market capabilities to its offering signals Tribe’s ambition to scale its impact and broaden its reach.
