Spear's Review
Having come to the end of his stint as Macfarlanes senior partner which began in 2008, Charles Martin has now retired.
During his career he took on everying from executing large transactions to dealing with conflicts of interest or working on private equity investments. He worked with families from Latin America, the US and Europe on issues that affect their corporate structures and liquidity. Working with tax, financing, competition and other specialists, he was able to bring to bear his wide experience of how the worlds of family offices interact with the wider corporate environment – not to mention that Martin had a world-leading private client team down the hall.
