Based in Scotland, PwC partner Susannah Simpson supports a range of UK-based entrepreneurs and HNW and UHNW families on their tax planning needs, as well as serving as the firm’s UK private client leader. For entrepreneurs, Simpson can assist with managing tax requirements throughout the life cycle of a business. 

Increasingly, over the past few years, this work has centred around ‘helping individuals realise they need a bit of structure around their wealth,’ she says, and involving the next generation has been a core theme. Often, this can involve expanding a family legacy to include philanthropy or other endeavours. The increasing prominence of ESG means ‘there is a need to look at impact investment’, she tells Spear’s.

‘It’s never too early to think about these things,’ she says.
