Sean Bannister, partner and head of tax at Edwin Coe, says his clients appreciate his ability to communicate ‘complex concepts’ and ensure that they are best placed to make the right decisions around their tax affairs. 

Bannister acts for HNWs and UHNWs and their advisers, many of whom have assets and business interests in multiple countries. Recent cases worked on include exit planning for a family moving to Monaco in advance of deemed domicile status, establishing a family wealth structure for a client with £300 million in assets, advising a client through the process of acquiring a yacht, and instructing a group of tech entrepreneurs through their third round of funding. He tells Spear's that ‘where these clients see us in terms of adding value is responsiveness and quality of advice’.

Bannister has particular expertise in advising non-domiciled clients on navigating the UK tax landscape, as well as advising non-UK residents who are looking to acquire business or property interests in the UK and structure their assets effectively.
