Bringing together two of the largest and best known names in the UK’s wealth management industry, the deal will create a group in charge of some £100 billion of assets – placing it amongst the City’s largest.

Having led Rathbones since 2019, Paul Stockton continues to serve as chief executive of the bolstered firm. The former chartered accountant has been pivotal in driving the firm’s expansion and refining its offer to value-conscious clients.

Early in his career, he qualified at PwC, before working in New York for the firm. He later held the position of financial director at several companies before joining Rathbones in 2008.
