Quilter Cheviot investment director Richard Pemberton joined the firm in 2020 from Canaccord Genuity, where he was lead manager for ‘several large bespoke mandates’, according to an industry observer.

His hire was part of Quilter Cheviot’s strategic move to bolster its existing investment management offering for private clients and intermediaries. At the time of writing, Quilter Cheviot had one of the largest discretionary investment management teams in the Channel Islands.

Pemberton has been specialising in ‘low-risk investment solutions since 2000’ and within his role is broadly responsible for growing the firm’s AuM as well as building and retaining UHNW client relationships. The client-facing adviser also manages investments.
