Andrew Adie has more than 25 years’ experience in crisis management and heads SEC Newgate UK’s ‘green & good’ and corporate reputation teams. 

During his career he has developed a number of award-winning communications programmes for a variety of different brands. The firm was also instrumental in Alan and Gina Miller’s ‘True and Fair’ movement, which campaigned for transparency in the UK’s wealth management space.

In 2024 the agency achieved B Corp status and has worked with clients at the COP climate conferences and London Climate Action Week.

While extensive coverage could be the aim for some clients, others actively try and avoid it. ‘Part of our role is not only to promote them, but to look around corners as well,’ Adie tells Spear’s about Newgate’s offering to HNWs, corporations and family businesses. It includes scanning for reputational threats and mitigating them with communications strategies.
