Alistair Kellie was part of the team that founded Newgate Communications in 2011, which later become SEC Newgate. ‘We saw that the world was moving in a slightly different direction – we wanted to set up a more integrated, holistic communications advisory firm,’ he tells Spear’s. He advises a wide range of clients, from start-ups, HNWs and family businesses to multinationals and government departments and has supported the launch of several businesses and policy campaigns.

Kellie has a background in public affairs, with more than 25 years’ experience in areas such as corporate positioning, financial communications and crisis management.

‘Communications should be underpinned by trust, you have to be authentic in your tone of voice,’ Kellie says of his ethos of longevity, especially when it comes to client relationships.
