As head of the EMEA alternative capital markets group at Goldman Sachs, Rob Mullane connects the firm’s private clients to a wide range of private market opportunities, utilising the global firm’s network of 1,000 investment professionals. 

‘The big area of allocation is definitely in the United States ... but certainly Europe as well is a big market for us in private equity. When you break it down into different categories, there are other opportunities, [including] real assets and real estate,’ he told Bloomberg News in early 2024, explaining the opportunities available to family office clients. 

‘I think one of the benefits of a firm like ourselves is our ability to connect investors with different opportunity sets,’ he added.

Mullane began his career as a research analyst at HSBC before moving to Goldman Sachs in 2007.
