Ashley Hurst

Osborne Clarke head of client strategy Ashley Hurst is a commercial litigator with an international remit, helping clients on media, communications and cyber disputes. 

As leader of the firm’s cyber and contentious data protection team, Hurst advises large social media companies on potential litigation and regulatory issues. He often works with corporate individuals at the ‘board level’, and relishes working with ‘fast-growth start-ups’ and ‘disruptors’. 

Hurst also sits on the UK board for Osborne Clarke, leading overall client strategy. He says: ‘This is a multifaceted role but ultimately is about understanding the needs of our clients and making sure our business is shaped to meet them.’ 

Prior to joining Osborne Clark, Hurst trained at silver circle firm Hogan Lovells and spent 10 years at Olswang (now CMS).
