Spear’s Review
Andy Sturgeon established his garden design practice back in 1988. Since then, he has been commissioned for projects across the UK and internationally. One recent project of note is the Battersea Power Station roof gardens which, he tells Spear's, incorporate elements such as a 'rooftop forest, cloud-like planting and courtyard gardens.'
With nine gold medals and three 'Best in Show' accolades at the Chelsea Flower Show under his belt, the designer finds joy in unleashing his creativity. ‘We are an unusual practice in that we are not defined by a single aesthetic and instead thrive on the diversity of our projects,' he says. 'What unites them is a timeless atmospheric quality with a connection to nature and their surroundings.'
